MY HEAD IS IN TWO WORLDS. ONE IS WORK-IM DESIGNING YOUNG MENS APPAREL FOR FALL 2010. THE OTHER IS MY BUSINESS-WHERE IM BUYING JUNIORS APPAREL FOR SPRING2010. SPRING IS WHAT EXCITES ME THE MOST. THIS IS THE SEASON OF NEW BEGINNINGS. ITS WHERE BRANDS START FRESH AND RELAUNCH ENTIRE MARKETING CAMPAIGNS. BRANDS LIKE INSIGHT, RVCA, VOLCOM, OBEY AND STUSSY ARE MY MOST EXCITING BRANDS RIGHT NOW IN JUNIORS. I AM STARTING TO SEE THE CAMPAIGNS AND LINES AND I CAN TELL YOU IT MAKES MY HEART SKIP A BEAT. 

1ST AND MOST IMPORTANT IS COLOR, COLOR, COLOR. YOU CAN HAVE THE SAME STYLE UPDATED IN A NEW COLOR AND BAM-1/10 OF YOUR LINE IS DONE. COMING OUT OF THE HOLIDAY SEASON WHERE EVERYTHING IS RATHER DARK AND DULL, A STORE WILL SET IT'S SPRING AND EVERYONE GETS EXCITED. 
2ND IS PRINTS. SOME BRANDS ARE KNOWN FOR THEIR PRINTS-SOME AREN'T. BUT EVERYONE'S GOT EM. FROM ETHEREAL SPACE PRINTS, TO THE OBLIGATORY 90'S DITZY TO NAVAJO HIPPY, IM LOVING PRINTS.

IM ALSO IMPRESSED BY THE KNITS CATEGORY. IN THE 90'S, KNITS DIED WHEN GRUNGE TOOK OVER. ITS A DIFFERENT TIME NOW AS NOT ONLY IS GRUNGE A BIG TREND (FLANNELS AND DOC'S) BUT KNITS ARE STILL VERY STRONG AND EXCITING. EASY, LOOSE FITTING WITH SEAMING OR CUT-OUTS. FINE-DRAPEY JERSEYS IN STRUCTURED SILHOUETTES.  ACID WASHES AND BURN OUTS COMING BACK TO ADD INTEREST. 
WOVENS ARE BIG NOW, TOO. FLANNELS, WASHED DOWN CHAMBRAYS-BUT THEY ARE EASY. PULL ON, SLIP OVER, STEP IN AND PULL UP. NO UNZIPPING OR BUTTONING TO GET IN. RIVETS AND STUDS ADD DETAIL.
SATINS AND FLANNELS. MIXING KNITS AND WOVENS. THE ONE-PIECE. 
OOOH THE ONE-PIECE. HOW I LOVE YOU. 
LAST-DENIM. SKINNY IS STILL BIG AS EVER. BUT THERE'S ALWAYS THAT SHOW PIECE THAT US RISK-TAKERS  TRY. THIS TIME. IT'S THE BOYFRIEND. LAST TIME, IT WAS THE HIGH WAIST (WE BID YOU FAREWELL). LOOSE FITTING, 5-POCKET 501 STYLE. SUPER LIGHTS PAIRED WITH SUPER DARKS IN THE SKINNY AND STRAIGHT.  NO NEED FOR THE BOOT CUT (ADIEU).
DETAILS SUCH AS LACE UP, DISTRESSING AND PRINTING. METAL HARDWARE AND RIPPING/TEARING PAIRED WITH FEMININE PRINTS JUXTAPOZ THE EYE FROM ROCKER TO HIPPY.
